Christians believe that Jesus Christ is GOD in the flesh – fully human. He gave up his majesty and glory in heaven to enter into our world as a human being in order to redeem us to God and to restore goodwill between heaven and mankind. This is the central theme of the Bible. That is why a multitude of angels appeared at the time of his birth to proclaim “Glory to God in highest, and on earth, peace and goodwill toward men!” (Luke 2:14)
